Telegram Media Downloader Pro
Save every photo, video, voice note, document and archive from any Telegram channel or group — in full original quality, in one batch. Even from channels that switched the save button off.
The problem
The saving wall
Channel owners flip one switch and the forward, save and copy buttons vanish for everyone. Screen-recording a 400 MB video is not a plan.
Manual saving
- Save button greyed out on restricted channels
- One file at a time, if at all
- Forwarding disabled, screenshots lossy
- No way to filter by type or format
- Hours of scrolling for a large channel
Media Downloader Pro
- Reads media the normal way a client does — the button lock does not apply
- Whole channel history in one pass
- Works on private and t.me/+ invite channels your account can open
- Pick media types and exact extensions
- Progress bar, live stats, resumable feel
What you get
One screen, three fields, a Start button
Everything below runs on your machine against Telegram’s own API.
Whole channel, one click
Point it at a channel and it walks the entire message history, downloading every matching file it finds.
7 media categories
Photos, videos, files, audio, voice notes, video messages and stickers — toggle exactly what you want.
60+ formats mapped
Leave the format box empty to take everything, or type a list — mp4, mkv, epub, pdf, apk, zip — to keep only those.
Nothing leaves your PC
Direct connection to Telegram with your own API keys. Zero files pass through a Lyrasoft server.
Any source reference
An @handle, a t.me link, a private t.me/+ invite, or a raw numeric ID — all resolve.
Live progress
Overall and per-file bars plus a stat grid: scanned, found, downloaded, total size, speed, average, elapsed, time left.
The actual window
Read every control before you buy
Rebuilt here from the app’s own theme — three numbered cards, a Start button, and a stat grid that fills in as it works.
Layout reconstructed from the shipped app theme — colours, spacing and controls are the real ones.

Formats it knows about
Grouped the way the picker groups them. Type a subset to filter, or leave it blank for all.

Setup
From download to first file
You need a free Telegram API key — about a minute at my.telegram.org. The app ships this same walkthrough on its “How do I get these?” button.
Sign in at my.telegram.org
Use your phone number in international format. Telegram sends a one-time login code inside the app, not by SMS.
Open “API development tools”
On the Telegram Core page, click the first link, API development tools.
Create an app
Any title and short name work — for example “Media Downloader”. Submit the form.
Copy api_id and api_hash
Copy the two values it shows. Keep them private — they belong to your Telegram account and are all you need.
Start a download
In the app: paste api_id, api_hash and your phone number, enter a channel link, pick a save folder, choose media types, and press Start download. The session is remembered after the first sign-in.

FAQ
Questions
How does it download from channels that block saving?
The app reads media the normal way a Telegram client does. The greyed-out forward, save and copy buttons are a client-side UI limit; they do not apply to a program using the API. It works on private and restricted channels that your own account can already open.
Is my Telegram account safe?
Yes. The app runs entirely on your PC and connects to Telegram’s official API using your api_id and api_hash. No content or credentials are sent to any Lyrasoft server. Keep your api_id and api_hash private — treat them like a password.
Will this get my account banned?
It uses the official API like any normal client and does not flood requests. That said, only use it with chats your account may access, and stay within Telegram’s Terms of Service and the rights of content owners.
Does it lower the quality of videos and photos?
No. Each file is saved exactly as stored on Telegram — named tg_<id> with the correct extension. Nothing is re-encoded or compressed.
Can I download just one file type?
Yes. Toggle the media types you want, then optionally type a list of extensions such as mp4, epub, apk. Everything else in the chat is skipped. Leave the list empty to take every format.
What about very large channels?
One click scans the whole history, tens of thousands of messages included. A progress bar and a live stat grid show scanned, found, downloaded, total size, speed and time left so you always know where it is.
Mac or Linux?
Not yet. Telegram Media Downloader Pro is a Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop app.
How do I get the app and my key?
Buy from the Lyrasoft Patreon shop or through the Telegram channel. The licence key and download link are emailed to you. Licence or payment problems go through the Discord support ticket queue.
